By downloading or playing Chesswood Knights, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We collect specific data to ensure the game functions correctly, to save your progress, and to improve gameplay balance.

• Account Information: By default, we create an anonymous account linked to your device. You may optionally choose to link an email address to secure your account and prevent data loss. Providing an email is not mandatory. Furthermore, we do not verify email addresses; you may use any text in a valid email format to serve as your login credential.
• Game Data: We store your game progress, match history, and inventory in our database.
• Device & Usage Data: We collect technical information such as your device model, operating system version, and crash logs to fix bugs and improve stability.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data strictly for the following purposes:

• Authentication: To manage your login session using Firebase Authentication. If provided, your email is used solely to allow you to recover your account or log in on a different device.
• Cloud Saves: To store your progress and tactical layouts using Firebase Cloud Firestore.
• Analytics: To understand how players interact with the game (e.g., which levels are too hard) using Google Analytics for Firebase.

4. Third-Party Services

We utilize services provided by Google (Firebase) to operate the game. These partners may access data as described below:

• Firebase Authentication: Used to secure your account.
• Cloud Firestore: Used to store game data on secure Google servers.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: Collects anonymous usage data and unique device identifiers to help us track active users and retention.

5. Data Retention & Deletion (Play Store & App Store Requirement)

To protect your privacy and minimize data storage, we have implemented the following retention policies:

Automatic Deletion of Inactive Accounts

To minimize the storage of personal data and maintain database efficiency, we implement an automatic deletion policy for inactive accounts:

• If an account has not been accessed (logged into) for a continuous period of two (2) years, we reserve the right to permanently delete the account and all associated data (including progress and email).
• This cleanup process runs periodically (approximately once per month).
• Important: Once an inactive account is deleted, the data cannot be recovered.

How to Delete Your Account Manually

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data immediately, you have two options:

1. Fill out our Request Form: Submit a request via our Data Deletion Request Form.
2. Email Us: Send an email to wylvergames@gmail.com with the subject line: "Account Deletion Request". Please include your in-game username or the email address used to register.

For security reasons, we may require you to verify your identity via email before processing the deletion. We will permanently delete your data within 30 days of verification.

6. Children’s Privacy

Chesswood Knights is not directed towards children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy as the game evolves (e.g., if we add Multiplayer or Ads). We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
